Buffalo Soldier Memorial
 
This memorial was built to celebrate the accomplishments of The 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and Robert Gould Shaw in the late 1800's by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.   The 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry was  one of the first all black regiments in the United States Armed Forces.  This monument is located in Boston, Massachusetts on the Boston Commons.
