Unless you live in a bubble, you know that Senator Barack Obama has become the first African-American to lead a major political party in the race for the White House.
Last night's speech was powerful and moving. There wasn't a dry eye in my house.
There were a lot of highlights to Obama's nomination speech but the statement that continues to stay with me was his last sentence: "Let us continue to hold firmly to the hope that we confess without wavering..." Bible readers will know it comes from Hebrews 10:23. Here's the rest of that text "... for the one who made the promise is faithful."
This is the hope that my grandson can. indeed, be President someday.
After the speech was over, we broke out James Brown's greatest hits and danced the night away to "Say it Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud!"
Please share your favorite portion of this historic speech.
