"I think (Oprah) putting 500 African American men thru college is a great deed of compassion, way to go Oprah. Why can't we be happy that she did what she did and stop begging for more?"
J.Allen ~ July 2012

Black people don't know their worth. No one is picketing Oprah and saying "do for us" so "begging" and "hands out" is a dramatic exaggeration.

It is because black people don't know their worth that Oprah, your alderman, the police and city services don't do any better than, they do and why our schools have failed, our streets are in disrepair, our black economy is in the toilet, crime is rampant and owning a successful black business is a fairy tale.

If black people knew their worth our own husbands, wives and children would treat us better and do better by us. You have heard what I said and I read what you have said now, hear what Oprah had to say....

FROM OPRAH'S MOUTH TO GOD'S EAR.

She clearly stated that African American children in the U.S.A. show a total and utter lack of concern for education. Oprah stated that African American children in the U.S.A. prefer new gym shoes and Ipods instead of reading and writing materials.

She further stated and remarked that children in Africa have only the desire to learn. The Africans only request is for school uniforms and learning materials. Oprah considers the needs of African children as money well spent and I concur with her.

Oprah comments infer that she knows she can do better but why bother since Black people don't know their worth and are easily pacified with new street lamps, new gym shoes and Ipods instead of reading and writing materials.

Not knowing our worth is the same and exact way they conquered us into slavery by giving us meaningless trinkets, worthless guns and empty promises to turn on each other.

Oprah's actions wasn't solely motivated by the poverty of Africans in Africa. She was also motivated by her disenchantment with the unfulfilled legacy of Martin Luther Kings dream for African Americans.

Black America, know your worth by getting rid of your worthless attitude.

HERE'S A CLUE:
Knowing and enforcing your worth is not called ..... "begging" and "hands out"
