Sgt Joseph Chavalia has been found innocent on charges of negligent homicide and negligent assault in the death of an innocent woman, Tarika Wilson. She and a child were shot during a raid in which police were looking for her boyfriend . She may have made a bad choice in a boyfriend but she didn't deserve to die.

You hate to say race played a factor in the jury's decision but an all white jury found the officer innocent despite the facts:

* That the raid should not have been conducted with children in the house

* There was no immediate threat of danger to anyone until the cops bust into the house.

* The police could have waited to the suspect was alone or until he left the house.

* Did I mention there were children in the house?
