On June, 5, 1968, Senator Robert Kennedy Was Leaving His Victory Rally After Defeating Eugene McCarthy In The California Democratic Primary, When He Was Killed By Sirhan Sirhan.

Rooselvelt "Rosey" Grier Immediately Disarmed Sirhan Sirhan. According To An Article In The Baltimore Sun, "Grier Banged The Man's Hand Repeatedly On The Table Until The Gun Was Loosed."

Grier, A Former Defensive Tackle For The New York Giants And Los Angeles Rams, Was One Of Three Black Bodyguards Protecting Kennedy That Day. The Others Were Olympic Decathlon Champion, Rafer Johnson, And Another Former Rams Player, Deacon Jones.
