  • Politics Is Like Hiring A Hitman
    by Scott Woods inPolitical on2020-08-13

For me, politics is like hiring a hitman. I have values and things I care about. I care enough about them to at least bother voting for 5 minutes every year for one issue or another. And because I care at least that much, I vote for people who align with the ability to realize the things I care about.

I believe our vote is the punctuation of our voice. Without that resounding exclamation mark, I believe our voices are just incoherent noise.

  • Living in a Black No-Man's Land
by Roger Madison Jr. inOur Community on2019-10-28

There are many narratives that define the Black experience in America in this 2nd decade of the 21st century. Our striving over the centuries of our sojourn in this nation is a tapestry of every human experience -- oppression, enslavement, forced assimilation, dehumanization, exclusion, segregation, isolation, struggle, perseverance, achievement, excellence, celebration, mourning, despair, progress, setbacks, lynching, assassination, genocide, terror, self-hatred, low esteem, pride,...

  • Fighting Racism
by Scott Woods inOur Community on2018-10-25

I had a boss who was racist. Not an outright bigot, of course; her toolbox was more subtle than most. We bumped heads a lot over inconsequential things. Got left OFF!

I just finished reading an article at another site that left me speechless for a moment. The subject of the article proclaimed it to be a list of the 'best business resources available', for the person who is Doing  Business From Home. As I looked over the list, I was quickly reminded that anytime a supposed results of a comparative study is done, it is usually not something to make a fuss over. What I mean is simply this. It is usually impossible to test and or compare everything that should be on the list. There are usually far too many subjects and besides, the writer is really only interested in advancing one item anyway. So I would say to my worthy associates, don't concern yourselves with this list and let us continue to tell the world about 12 Second Commute (12SC) and soon the world will sing our praises for us. I am quite sure that as the word spreads of all the tools, offered by 12SC, along with the training, video library and etc., people will beat a path to our doors. To be sure, if there be any reader who is considering a go at a Home-Based business, I would give strongest recommendation to you taking advantage of the 30 Days Free Trial being offered by 12 Second Commute. Even if you don't stay, you will probably learn more in the trial period, than you will with any other company, forever. Oh, you don't believe me? Well, the one thing I always to critics and naysayers; Where is your Proof? Prove me wrong! Put up or shut up!! Anyway, I believe 12SC is The Perfect Business Companion and if you are to be successful, seems to me, that is what you would want to have on your side. Don't you agree?
