A Sculptor's Passion
He has been dubbed 'The Rennaissance Man' for over a quarter of a century by his native countrymen and admirers in England. However, since the first of his many visits and guest appearances at red carpet events in the U.S., Donald Brown has and continues to take America by storm with his amazing limited edition works of art that are true Twenty-First Century masterpieces. By the age of 14, Donald drew national television and media attention for his sculptures.
However, his first university degree application was rejected on the grounds that there was no one at the university capable of teaching him anything new where his technique and ability was concerned. His second application was successful as he opted to study the history of art the following year and Brown later graduated with a BA Honors Degree in Fine Art Sculpture in 1988 from Wolverhampton University in England.
What makes Donald so unique is that he is self taught and even from the tender age of ten he chose to ignore those who discouraged him from making, what they viewed as, an unwise career choice. He however, pursued his dream of becoming a sculptor. Now the international demand for his works have excelled even his expectations.
