Blacks make up 13% of the US population but account for 50% of new HIV cases in 2004 and that number has steadily grown. Earvin "Magic" Johnson" and his The Magic Johnson Foundation has helped to establish The Campaign to End Black HIV/AIDS. It is dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS by providing communities with information and resources for prevention and testing, educational materials to share with family and friends and a way to join together to make a difference. The "I Stand With Magic" Program is a powerful part of The Campaign because it empowers us to take a stand against HIV/AIDS, both for ourselves and our community.
